Tonys Chamber - Savage Nation Invasion

Michael Savage, host of the radio talk show The Savage Nation, has some very strange ideas on many subjects. I don't think that there is an issue that Savage doesn't have some opinion on. He has called Third World countries, "Turd World Countries." Savage has described single career women in their 40's and 50's as, "burnt out liberal hack women", and "human wreckage in high heels." Michael Savage has referred to the handicapped as the, "Wheelchair mafia." You can expect to hear Savage bash the legal and illegal immigrants any time you listen to his show. Michael Savage's show The Savage Nation is no less than hate radio. I don't agree with what Savage has to say but I usually just keep walking and let the nutcases rant until they lose their voices. The nuts have their right to Freedom Of Speech and, even though I don't want to hear what they have to say, I respect their right to say it. I figure that I can always turn off the radio or change the station. The only thing that I ask is that the nuts leave the children alone because kids can't defend themselves and they aren't ready to go up against the scum of the earth. Do you think that Michael Savage would drag a child's name through the mud? Yes he would and he has. Michael Savage doesn't have any compassion for anyone; not even a child that has been hurt.

Elizabeth Smart was a 14 year old girl from a nice suburb of Salt Lake City, Utah, when she was kidnapped from her bed on June 5, 2002. Elizabeth Smart was rescued from her kidnappers on March 12, 2003, in Sandy, Utah; 15 miles from her home. During her 9 months with her kidnappers Elizabeth Smart was brainwashed and sexually abused repeatedly. Elizabeth's March 12, 2003, rescue should have been the end of abuse for her; but she would have her good name dragged through the mud by such monsters as Michael Savage.

On the March 18, 2003, broadcast of The Savage Nation Michael Savage called Elizabeth Smart, "Snow White." When I heard that I thought, "Hey that's not right. This girl can't help what happened to her and she shouldn't be mocked for it." I thought that Savage had gone too far even for him but I didn't know that he was just getting started. Savage then went on to say that if he were writing a newspaper article about what had happened to Elizabeth Smart that the headline would be, "Snow White Gets Raped By Bum In White Robes." I was almost 36 years old but I honestly wanted to cry when I heard this. I didn't have any way to know that Michael Savage was saving the worst for last. Michael Savage, host of The Savage Nation then out did himself by saying that if he were going to write a book about what happened to Elizabeth Smart that the title would be, "LIZZIE DOES UTAH"!

I swear, people, I am not the most saintly character you'll ever meet but when I heard what Michael Savage said he would name his book I had to take a time out. I wanted to vomit when I heard his book title. I thought, "Hey this is America and we don't treat a child that has been: kidnapped, raped, and traumatized, like this. We don't even treat an abused and traumatized animal like this." I wondered what kind of man would talk about a little girl like this and then the lightbulb went on in my head. The answer to my question is that no - MAN - would talk about a little girl like this. The radio host that I am talking about isn't a man at all; he is, like his name and the name of his radio talk show suggests, a savage. Michael Savage doesn't live in the same society that most Americans live in. The America that I love is a country that takes care of its own, and loves its children, but Michael Savage's world is a nation of savages. America is a family values nation. America is not, and hopefully never will be, a savage nation.

Michael Savage's Rights And Actions

I haven't lived a saintly life by any means. I thought that I had been around the block but when I heard what Michael Savage said about Elizabeth Smart I got an education in just how cruel man can be. Savage said he was doing this because he didn't agree that Elizabeth Smart's family had any right to keep the sexual abuse issue private; and Savage is completely - WRONG - about that! There have been laws in effect for years that protect the identities of minors that were sexually abused. I support these laws that protect the identities of child victims of sexual abuse and I am sure that anyone with children would agree with me. What Michael Savage said about Elizabeth Smart will still be just as disgusting on March 18, 2023, as it was on March 18, 2003, when he said it.

I don't think that Michael Savage is but about two steps ahead of Brian Mitchell and Wanda Barzee, the people who kidnapped and sexually abused Elizabeth Smart; and people who sexually abuse children aren't at the bottom of the barrel because they are the bottom of the barrel. Maybe Savage, Mitchell, and Barzee, can all get together and talk about what they did to this little girl - while they're all spending eternity in hell.

I read where one Savage Nation fan said that she liked the show and its host because Michael Savage had the guts to say the things that nobody else did. Oh Michael Savage has got guts alright. It takes a lot of guts to mock a little girl for being raped...

Michael Savage and his fans say that The First Amendment gives Savage the right to say the things that he does on the radio. They point out that The First Amendment is what gives us the right to speak our minds and not be shot or locked away and that sometimes there is a big price to pay for this big privilege. I agree with them that The First Amendment is a wonderful thing. I love The First Amendment so much that I am going to use my First Amendment rights to not listen to The Savage Nation. I will be well in bounds of my rights when I don't listen to any radio station that carries The Savage Nation and tell the radio stations, and anyone else that will listen to me, why I don't listen to that station. The First Amendment also gives me the right not to read or buy Michael Savage's books and I am going to take full advantage of this right. You can bet the farm that I am going to take full advantage of my First Amendment right to create this webpage and say how I feel about Michael Savage and his show. I am going to use my First Amendment right not to buy products that sponsor The Savage Nation, but I am also going to go all the way and even let the companies know that I won't buy their products as long as they sponsor The Savage Nation. Savage could lose his talk show and book contract if enough people take advantage of the First Amendment rights that I have stated in this paragraph, but if that happens then that will just be part of the price that Michael Savage will have to pay for living in a country that has freedom of speech. Savage could always get a job cleaning the mens room at a bus station somewhere. He should feel right at home in that job.
