Elizabeth McLendon Lowery. Elizabeth was the daughter of Burrell McLendon (b. 1785 in S.C.). He married Sara Ann Fountain on 10-3-1880.
Sara Ann was the daughter of John B Fountain and Mary Williams of Laurens
County, Ga. John B. Fountain was the son of William Anderson Fountain
(born 1788 in N.C.and died during the Civil War.) and
Elithu ?? born ca. 1800. Mary Williams was the daughter of Lott Williams (b. 1790 in N.C.) and Polly ?? born in 1810 in N.C. Children of Mathias Lowery and Sara Ann Fountain: 1.Burrell Lowery who married Arnor Clark. 2.John L. Lowery (b.2-14-1889. d.4-1-1970) Married Victoria Cadwell. John L. and Victoria are both buried at the Cadwell Cemetary in Laurens County, Ga. 3.Malinda Lowery who married Jerry Lowery. Malinda and Jerry are buried at Cadwell Cemetary in Laurens County. Ga. 4. Mattie Lowery (died young) 5.Cullen Lee Lowery (b.6-18-1891. d. 11- -1957) He married Lougenia Harden. Cullen Lee and Lougenia are buried at Mt. Zion Cemetary in Laurens County, Ga. 6. Nannie Lizzie Lowery who married Jesse Hearn. |
