Do you scorn me for my age?
Do you discredit me, due to long life?
I have combed the world for meaning during my existence,
Exploring the highest apices of joy
and diving to the most desolate slums of despair.
I have found meaning.
And at long last, I have fulfilled my purpose.
Yet you fault me because I can no longer explore
the tallest mountains?
Or dive beneath a troubled sea?
You are wrong, my child.
I know much more than can ever be learned
from such vantage points.
My experiences stretch across
the vast expanses of life itself,
And now, I near my end,
and approach the mighty Chasm,
that lies between this world,
and the next.
