      Quick and Easy Chili

      Ingredients:

      1 lb. lean ground beef
      1 C onion, chopped (adjust amount to suit your taste)
      1 (1-pound) can kidney beans
      1 (16-ounce) can tomatoes
      1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
      1/4 t. pepper
      1 t. salt
      2 t. chili powder
      1 bay leaf

      Preparation:

      Stir and cook ground beef and onion together in large skillet (or dutch oven)
      until meat is brown. Drain off excess fat and stir in remaining ingredients.
      Heat just to boiling, stirring constantly to prevent sticking.
      Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
      Remove bay leaf before serving.

      T = Tablespoon
      t  = teaspoon
      C = cup
