welcome
Our Dogwood Tree

We're so glad you stopped in. This is our personal family website with a little bit of this and a little bit of that. Take your time and look around. Surely you will find something here to make your visit worthwhile.

This site is always undergoing renovations, as time permits. If you find any links that aren't working, please let me know. All comments, questions and suggestions are appreciated. You'll find an email link on every page, so be sure to let me know what you like. Otherwise, how will I know?

Now. A little bit about us. We were married in Helen, Georgia--also known as Alpine Helen, a unique Bavarian style village nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains on the Chattahoochee River. It was a special ceremony in a beautiful gazebo with church bells ringing in the background.  We enjoy going back there every chance we get.   If you've never visited Helen, you just can't know what you are missing!  Check it out and plan a trip there soon.

Our family consists of 4 daughters, 1 son (and their mates), 7 granddaughters and 7 grandsons. Some live nearby and some far away, but they all visit as often as they can. That makes us very happy. : )

My favorite singer is still George Strait, of course. I've been in love with him since the first time I watched ... uh, I meant to say heard him sing ;-) and he still makes me smile.   We went to Orlando, FL in  September '96,  Charleston, SC  February '07, and Duluth, GA  January '08 (and this time we had floor seats and I went right up to the stage!  Oh. My. Gosh.)  to see him in concert and he was awesome everytime!!!  And yeppers, I did get a shot of those Wrangler jeans! Woohoo!!  ;-)  Lookahere!

The book I have most recently read was "Its All About Him: Finding the Love of My Life" by Denise Jackson.   It is a very good book and I do recommend it.

I also recommend "For Laci".  Written by Sharon Rocha, about the life and death of her daughter Laci Peterson, this is a mother's story of love, loss, and finally justice. If you followed the case at all,  this is a must read.

But if anyone does not provide for his own,
and especially for those of his household,
he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
