First Indeptndent Methodist Church

Having been led by the Holy Spirit of God, we have established the First Independent Methodist Church. The modernistic tendencies found in the united church created a great need for freedom and independence. Therefore, this church was established to perpetuate true Methodism and the fundamental doctrines of the Holy Scriptures.

In these modern times there is a great need for people who love the Lord Jesus Christ to stand up for Him. Modernism and liberalism have captured many people in the name of Christianity; therefore, we believe that the people should have a choice between these elements and the true doctrines of the Bible. This Church was established to uphold The Deity of Jesus Christ, The Virgin Birth, The literal Resurrection of Jesus Christ, The Return of the Lord Jesus for His Church, the Bible as the Infallible Word of God, and to oppose the work of the Devil.

We believe in a personal salvation and Jusus Christ as the personal Saviour. We stand not on our righteousness of our labor but on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, for He is the perfect man and Holy God.

The Aim of this church is to preach the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to win the lost for Him, to relieve the poor, strive for advancement of the Church of Christ, promote spirituality, support missionaries, and by the aid of the Holy Spirit to walk together in Christian love.

We also strive to protect the integrity of the Holy Scriptures. We believe the Holy Bible is God's Holy Word and its principles are the only infallible guide by which to live. Also we engage to maintain family and secret devotionns, to religiously educate our children, to walk uprightly by God's grace in the world, to resist evil, to remember one another in prayer, and to aid one another in sickness and sorrow.

The First Independent Methodist Church seeks to encourage all sho believe in the fundamental doctrines of the Holy Scriptures to unite with us in a common cause to re-establish the faith of our forefarthers.
