Viruses

My good friend Webster defines "VIRUS" (the kind we are worried about) as....

  vi·rus
Pronunciation: 'vI-r&s
Function: noun
Etymology: Latin, venom, poisonous emanation; akin to Greek ios poison, Sanskrit visa; in senses 2 & 4, from New Latin, from Latin
Date: 1599

a computer program usually hidden within another seemingly innocuous program that produces copies of itself and inserts them into other programs and that usually performs a malicious action (as destroying data)

Most Wanted

Most recently everyone has been concerned with the m32blaster worm which has been plagueing systems all over the world. As you may or may not know. We built a filter in our modem pools to stop the attacks from happening to NLAmerica users. (YEA!!!!) So if you don't already have it, there isn't too much to worry about. If you do think you have it, drop buy the office and pick up a set of disk we made to get rid of the nasty bug... (it's free)   :)

Watch out... Here
comes my opinion!

Everybody needs to have and use an anti-virus program on their local computer if they use it online. We recommend Norton Antivirus to most of our customers and usually have it in stock at our store.

We still scan all emails for viruses before you get them. But email isnt the only way viruses get spread. Take it from me.... get Norton or something like it on you computer and keep it up to date. You'll be glad you did.
