First Things First

Hi, my name is Darrell and I am the president and one of the owners of Micro-Management Systems and Netline America. I decided to build this area to put out information to users about the happenings at MMS and NLA and to also put out some general tips and opinions that I may have about computer and internet related topics.

The Palms at Hillcrest

Building A New Home

We are currently in the process of building a new shopping center in Dublin named "The Palms". Soon after construction is complete we hope to be moving all of our operations to the new facility.

We are all very excited about the move. The new store will be more than 7500 sq. ft. Thats more than 2 1/2 times our current size. We will have enough room to offer classes and will finally have a totally separate main computer room for our internet systems. (they are very loud and generate lots of heat) It will be good to get them into their own climate controlled room.

The Fight against SPAM Continues

We have just recently completed the construction of a new tool in the battle to fight SPAM here at NLAmerica. We have built a system that allows the user to specify the email addresses they would like to recieve emails from. Thats right! This is and EXCLUSIVE MODE for the email system. What I mean by that is, the only people who can email you are the ones you list in your Allow Only box inside SpamDam. Which also means... Bye Bye Junk Mail.
Below is an example of my Allow only list.

As you can see, you can put in entire domain names such as nlamerica.com in order to recieve emails from anyone here at nlamerica. You can also use entire email address's such as the one I did for chriss@chassisplans.com. The system is very easy to use. Just remember, if you put in an address, you turn on exclusive mode. If you turn on exclusive mode, you shouldn't need the other systems other than the always block box. So you may want to just turn them off like I did. With the combination of Always Block & Allow Only you can block ed@email.com and allow everyone else at email.com with no problem.

If you need to get an email through without being able to update your listing, just have whomever is sending the email include the phrase "blue42" (without the quotes) in the suject line of the email. This is an overide feature we built in for just such an occurance.

We realize this is an extreme form of spam blocking and may not be for everyone. But, if your as tired of spam as I am, you'll love it as much as I do.

Let me know what you think...
